Class Dress

Parents may be called to correct dress code violations. Students may not be allowed to stay in the Learning Center when a violation is discovered. If deliberate violations are occurring, detention or further discipline may be necessary. 
Ladies
Gentlemen
  • In presenting a modest, feminine appearance, women will not wear tight fitting or short clothing, and “see-through” skirts and blouses. Low necklines and skirts shorter than the middle of the knee (whether standing, sitting or walking) are not allowed. Slits in dresses or skirts must be PERMANENTLY closed to meet the middle-of-the-knee standard.  
  • Hair should be clean, modestly styled, and should not fall into eyes. Hair accessories must be simple.
  • Jumpers and skirts must be no higher than the middle of the knee (whether standing, sitting, or walking)
  • Blouses, according to assigned color, must have sleeves and collars. They must be worn with a solid colored slip (camisole or full) and must be tucked in at all times.
  • A vest, sweater vest, sweater, or blazer must be worn to school according to assigned color. Sweaters, jackets and/or coats other than the ones included in the uniform will not be allowed in the Learning Center and must be left on the coat rack. 
  • Ties and bows, according to uniform, must be worn at all times during school hours. 
  • Stockings and/or knee-high socks, according to assigned color, must be worn at all times during school hours. 
  • Closed black shoes of leather (smooth or suede) designed for dresses, rather than athletic wear, are to be worn. Shoes designed to be polished are to be kept polished. All shoes must be kept clean. Shoes must not have sparkles or
    embellishments. Heels may be no higher than 2 ½ inches in height. Boots primarily designed for outdoor use (such as rain and snow boots) are not to be worn in the Learning Center.  
  • Cosmetics may be worn in moderation. Nail polish, if worn at all, must be of a plain single-colored neutral color.
  • Jewelry, other than rings and watches, are not allowed. Rings and watches should be simple and modest.
  •  Haircuts must have eyes, ears and shirt collars clearly visible. Facial hair must be trimmed and neat at all times. Hair should be clean and modestly styled.
  • Clothing should always be clean and neatly ironed. 
  • Shirts, according to assigned color, are to be tucked in at all times. Only shirts with collars are to be worn. Solid-colored undershirts must be worn at all times 
  • Only ties, according to uniform, must be worn. Ties must be worn at all times during school hours.
  • A vest, sweater vest, sweater, or blazer must be worn to school according to assigned color. Sweaters, jackets and/or coats other than the ones included in the uniform will not be allowed in the Learning Center and must be left on the coat rack.
  • Only beige/khaki dress slacks or corduroys are to be worn. Pockets that are not found in the normal area, pant legs that gather at the bottom, and patches of any kind will not be allowed. Slacks with belt loops must be worn with a belt. Slacks must have a modest fit. 
  • Black boots or shoes of leather (smooth or suede) designed for dresses, rather that athletic wear, are to be worn. . Shoes designed to be polished are to be kept polished. All shoes must be kept clean. Shoes must not embellishments. Boots primarily designed for outdoor use (such as rain and snow boots) are not to be worn in the Learning Center. Socks must be worn at all times.  
  • Jewelry, other than rings and watches, are not allowed. Rings and watches should be simple and modest.

Formal Dress

Ladies
Dress or blouse and skirt and dress shoes are expected to be worn and must be of modest fit. No sleeveless dresses or blouses are to be worn (unless worn with a jacket or sweater). Necklines must be no lower than two finger-widths below the clavicle, as well as an equal distance from the base of the neck. See-through shirts and skirts must have a slip underneath. Skirts must meet middle-of-the-knee standard.
Gentlemen
A traditional suit or sport coat with dress slacks and a tie are required for junior high and high school students. Dress shirts with a tie and dress slacks for elementary students. Dress shoes and socks must be worn. 

Casual Dress

Ladies
Neatness and modesty are important, i.e.—nothing patched, torn, tattered, faded, or tight is to be worn at any time. Denim is acceptable as long it is within the above guidelines and in a professional dark wash. No cutoffs, midriffs, or sleeveless shirts may be worn (unless covered by another article of clothing). Pants must be worn with a shirt-dress no shorter than above the knee. Neat and clean shoes must be worn unless otherwise stated.  
Gentlemen
