REturned Checks
All checks returned by the bank due to insufficient funds will be assessed a $20 returned check fee. This fee will be added to the monthly billing statement and must be paid promptly. If a family writes two returned checks in a year, they will lose the privilege of paying by check for the remainder of the academic year. In this case, payment must be made in cash or by money order.
Late PAyments
When Faith Christian Academy families experience severe financial situations, parents should contact the school. In the case where parents have a serious change in their financial situation, Faith Christian Academy’s School Board will discuss the possibility of adjustments in scheduled tuition payments. No student will be asked to leave Faith Christian Academy solely on the basis of his inability to pay full tuition.
Late payments will be assessed a $50.00 late payment penalty; applied after a 5-Day Grace Period. Notice of overdue payment will be notified via telephone, or e-mail, after being overdue beyond three days.
If the school has not received a payment by the tenth day, a letter will be sent home stating that the student(s) will not be able to attend class. A follow up call will be made by the financial department.
Should a payment, or a written arrangement with the Financial Department, not be received within 30 days of the due date, a pending withdrawal notice will be sent to the student’s parents or responsible party.
If no alternative arrangement for payment is made and authorized by the Faith Christian Academy Administrator and the School Board, or a student's tuition account becomes 45 days past due, the student may be subject to suspension from classes or given a recommended transfer.
If, after all efforts noted above have been exercised, a period of 45 days has elapsed from the original due date without prior payment or written arrangements, the school administration will inform the family that their student(s) are officially withdrawn. Faith Christian Academy reserves the right to refuse continuing enrollment for the remainder of the school year. A meeting will be scheduled for the administrator and the parents to discuss alternative arrangements, such as a homeschool program. For families that the Financial Department deems qualified, the option of re-enrolling under new terms will be offered. The new terms will be considered “financial probation” and will include the following strict guidelines for payments:
